My Story

I’m Irma Cedeno Verdon, and I’m an award-winning serial entrepreneur and author committed to driving innovation at the intersection of business, education, language, and culture. I am the founder of Diáfano, a pioneering language learning platform that equips schools, corporations, and nonprofits with high-quality language programs. Under my leadership, Diáfano has received national recognition, named a Top 10 Company for Social Change by Revolt TV and AT&T, and honored with the Black and Latino Tech Award.
I hold a BA and an MFA in Creative Writing in Spanish from New York University. My debut book will be Happy Business, Happy Life, which will be the cornerstone of my Happy Business Happy Life business program that offers entrepreneurial education for both children and adults.
