What I Do
I’m a recognized voice in social entrepreneurship, education, and language innovation, inspiring new ways to build purpose-driven businesses, expand cultural access, and empower communities.
I Speak.
As a founder, immigrant, traveler, and lifelong learner, I speak about entrepreneurship, ambition, freedom, and creating a life on your own terms—challenging conventional ideas of success and inspiring audiences to think bigger and live boldly.
I Write.
I write about purposeful entrepreneurship, language accessibility, and creating a life on your own terms. With an MFA in Creative Writing, I bring a storyteller’s perspective to my work, including my upcoming book, Happy Business Happy Life.
I Lead.
I build and lead mission-driven ventures at the intersection of entrepreneurship, culture, and creativity—from Diáfano in language learning to Main Couture in fashion. I’m passionate about turning ideas into businesses with purpose, possibility, and impact.
Hi! I’m Irma.
My passions are entrepreneurship, travel, languages, and culture—and, underneath all of it, freedom.
When I came to the United States from the Dominican Republic at nine years old, I came believing in the American dream—and in the possibility of creating a life bigger than the one I could yet imagine. Even as a little girl, I knew what I wanted: freedom to choose the life I wanted, to create my own path, and to become whoever I wanted to be along the way. I wanted a life on my terms.
Today, I have the life I once dreamed about—and I’m still dreaming up what comes next.
Happy Business, Happy Life
